Welcome to Cube Homes’ consultation website for the proposed development of 22 new homes on the site of the Manchester Islamic High School for Girls on High Lane, Chorlton.

The Pre-Application Consultation ended on Monday 31st July 2023 and a planning application was submitted to Manchester City Council on 7th September 2023.

The planning application can be viewed via the Council’s planning portal using application reference number 137994/FO/2023.

In December 2023 Cube Homes undertook a design team review of the feedback received by the Council as part of its formal consultation on the submitted planning application. Further revisions are now proposed by Cube Homes to the original planning application that was submitted to the Council. These changes have now been formally submitted to the Council alongside updated technical reports and will be subject to further formal consultation undertaken by the Council in January 2024.

The latest revisions to the scheme can be viewed under REVISED SCHEME JANUARY 2024 tab below. Members of the public can provide feedback via the Council’s planning portal or if you wish to contact the project team directly please e-mail contact@cubehomeshighlaneconsultation.co.uk or telephone 07809140016.

Cube Homes is part of Great Places Housing Group (GPHG) and acquired the site in 2022 to redevelop it for housing.

The Manchester Islamic High School for Girls had now relocated to new fit for purpose facilities in Didsbury. The school had long since outgrown the facilities at High Lane and the move to new facilities provides for a much-improved learning environment for pupils and enables the school, which is over-subscribed, to expand to accommodate more pupils.
